What this site uses

Soot / Silicon has no user accounts, checkout or contact form. It is served by GitHub Pages, whose infrastructure may process ordinary web-request information such as an IP address, browser details, requested URL and timestamp to deliver and protect the service.

The site uses Cookiebot to record consent choices. Google Analytics is categorised as statistics and is configured to run only when that category is accepted. Aggregated analytics help identify which pages are useful and where the site needs improvement.

Third-party services

• Google Fonts supplies the site typefaces and receives the connection information required to deliver those files.
• The publications page contains a YouTube video. Cookiebot controls the embed according to the visitor's consent choices.
• Links to GitHub, LinkedIn and other external resources are governed by those services after a visitor follows them.

Provider retention periods and any processing outside the UK are governed by the relevant provider settings and privacy terms.
